Do Pharmacies Need Air Conditioning ?

Most of the drugs are stable at room temperature. The drugs that are not stable can be stored in refrigerators.Making air conditioning compulsory for pharmacies will only make the operating costs increase. If air conditioning is to ensure the stability of drugs how are the authorities going to check whether the air conditioning is functioning in the night? Are warehouses storing drugs in State sector air conditioned?
Is air conditioning  of pharmacies compulsory in other tropical countries ?When Sri Lanka is in a energy crisis according to the Minister of Power and Energy is this an appropriate proposal?Did the Health Ministry do a study on the issue?
The urgent issue about drugs at the moment is to adapt the National Drug Policy.Apparently even the draft of the document has gone missing!
Only people   that will gain are  those marketing air conditioners!
